Solo Batik Carnival is a community carnival based cross-ethnic , age and profession with batik as the main theme. Batik is a never ending creativity and has a long historical background in Indonesia, both philosophies, design motifs, creators and society as a supporter.

Solo Batik Carnival is a new interpretation of Solo People in interpret the creative work of batik as a form of society. Creation, independent, and creativity is the Solo Batik Carnival spirit.

Surakarta governments who cooperate with Solo Center Point, and the SBC Community held SOLO BATIK CARNIVAL with different themes every years since it was first held in 2008.

In this year SOLO BATIK CARNIVAL will be held on June 23, 2010, with the theme Sekar Jagad, Inspired from the environment and provide learning who will be caring for nature and create an environment-friendly carnival.

Sekar Jagad has meaning flower of the world, is a manifestation of beauty and harmony of nature. With the elegance of colorful plants, animals dance, nature makes an amazing and wonderful shapes.

Theme was divided into:
1. Vegetation (describe the beauty of plants and colorful flowers that adorn the natural)
a. Red Plant
b. Yellow And Brown Plants
c. Green Plants
d. White Plant
e. Blue and Purple Plants

2. Animals (describing the beauty of animals running, flying and dancing with the beautiful colors that decorate the natural)
a. Land Animal
b. Water Animals
c. Air Animals

3. Children (for children’s costumes are more colorful and imaginative as all the natural beauty and the feast will be incorporated into the unity that is very beautiful)
