Surakarta, which is known as Solo City is located in between of slope basin of Lawu Mountain and Merapi Mountain approximately 92 m above sea level (with 44 km2 – width). Surakarta lies between 110 45’ 15” 110 45’ 35” east longitude and 70’36” 70’ 56” south latitude. Surakarta is divide flowed by three big rivers, Bengawan Solo, Jenes and Pepe. Bengawan Solo rivers was known with its gorgeous scenery and trade traffic.

Surakarta border in the north side is Karanganyar Regency and Boyolali Regency, in the east side is Sukoharjo Regency and Karanganyar Regency, while in the south side is Sukoharjo Regency. Surakarta is divided into five sub district : Banjarsari, Laweyan, Serengan, Pasar Kliwon and Jebres.
